Brief History:

Lilia Skala, the first woman licensed engineer and architect in Austria, before she became a leading lady of the stage and screen in the 20’s and 30’s. When she arrived in the US as a political refugee, she worked her way out of a zipper factory to a career on Broadway, television and film, culminating in an Academy Award nomination.

Has original engraved lock & key (3"by 6") 23" deep, 67" long, 73-1/2" high; Biedermeier fruitwood side chair with in tarsia inlay (floral motif) on two top back splats.
